Like so many success stories, things at IPETRONIK were unspectacular in the beginning. The company was known as Engineering Office Pregger back in 1983 when Robert Heck, Horst Ihle and Bernd Pregger received their first orders for special measurement developments from BMW. This was later followed by orders from Mercedes-Benz. The small company soon grew bigger by working closely with these very large automotive companies on test and measurement techniques. Those original companies are still valued customers today. After six years Industrie Präzisions Elektronik GmbH, IPETRONIK for short, was founded. A short time after IPETRONIK was formed development of the KIM/SIM product range was well under way. This innovative technology then made practical mobile in-vehicle measurement possible for the whole automotive industry, as well as sophisticated test bench applications.
Here was a system for the future which in 1996 was expanded for use in complex solutions including truck roller test benches, mobile data recording with data exchange via GSM communications, and on-line calculations for clutch statistics. Today this is standard. Back then it was a small revolution.
During the following years the pioneering spirit of the founders created a healthy mid-size company which then became a part of Indus Holdings AG who have provided the necessary backing for future growth. Today's extensive product range includes a wide variety of high quality measurement modules, cables, accessories and software enabling users to build application specific measurement systems to satisfy all automotive data acquisition requirements.
These quality "Made in Germany" products are available world-wide through sales offices and agents in Germany, Great Britain, Sweden, France, Italy, Spain and the USA.
Today 40 of more than 80 people working at IPETRONIK are directly involved in development. We have specialists experienced in digital and analog measurement technology who will work closely with our customers on the long journey from prototype to series production vehicle. Whether in Death Valley or the Norwegian Taiga the measurement systems developed by IPETRONIK will perform to perfection. Today most European automotive manufacturers rely on their IPETRONIK systems for accurate, reliable measurement in all conditions.
Success for us is no reason to let things rest. Whilst working with our customers we get new signal types to measure every day, which are implemented in projects around the globe. There's an incentive for us to satisfy our customers requirements again and again and in doing so set a world-wide standard in automotive data acquisition for prototype development. We do not see our objective as the simple sale of a standard product range but to act as a project partner offering you a comprehensive "care package" providing full consultation and support services, to free you to concentrate on other important project work. Our one objective is the best possible solution. Our qualified automotive measurement specialists are available almost round the clock for technical discussions with your specialist engineers. They can be present in all phases of your project, down to the smallest details, and as with any good partnership we won't give up when things get difficult. We'll be there in good and bad times, person to person.
