Monitoring of the Biofilm |
|
It is important to perform effective risk analysis and to know site and extent of biofilm growth in order to successfully implement anti-fouling strategies, .
Biofilm monitoring devices have been developed and are available which allow for on-line, in-situ, non-destructive and real time detection of biofilm accumulation and to assess the success of cleaning measures. Consulting & service: - Risk analysis, assessment and management for biofilms and microbially influenced corrosion (MIC)
- Detection of microbially influenced corrosion of metals and other substances in cooperation with our corrosion experts
- Optimisation and establishment of recent monitoring methods of microbial processes
Research & development: - Adaptation of various concepts for quality assurance of water in industry and domestic water systems, e.g., HACCP concept, water safety plan, TRIM
- Development of sensors which can differentiate between biotic and abiotic components in biofilms
- Monitoring of biofilms in the production of food, process water, pure and ultrapure water ect.
